Lisbon

We are off to Portugal next year but are stuck on where to stay
We are a family of 5 (2 adults 3 children) and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Ideally not too far from Lisbon.... would love a villa with a pool and bbq area....thanks

Cascais is lovely - just 20 minutes on the train from Lisbon.

Loads -it,s a nice little seaside town with shops, a marina, a few small museums, a fab park, lots of restaurants (some fab fish ones).

If you’re hiring a car then Sintra is worth a visit. Plus of course there is lots to see in Lisbon.

There are lots of ferries across to Cascais etc from Lisbon if you chose to stay there and it's a lovely little city, so easy to get around and it just has a nice feel to it. I'd recommend Cascais too though.
