Suncream help!

Hi,

We are going to turkey at the end of June and was hoping people could help with suncream advice!

My eldest DD who is 7, burns very easily. We normally use the ambre solaire factor 50 mist, reapplying it every hour. We've found this to be the best suncream you can easily buy from the supermarket, however DD still ends up burning when on holiday.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a better suncream? My sister in law suggested techniblock, which she got when she was in Africa one time, however I can't find this anywhere!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Ultrasun extreme 50. Can get it in Waitrose. Dermatologist recommended for very pale me and my v pale kids. Is actually a one a day formulation but we reapply anyway.

Thank you, I'll check that out!

Forgot to say as well, that it would also be a spray/mist suncream if possible as DD has sensory issues!

at near peak uv in the med she needs a uv suit/ rash vest and hat, in the.shade 11 - 3 and weapons grade suncream. but the main thing is to limit exposure. and for you as well.

Agree with special. Go for long sleeved sun protective clothing and brimmed hat, even in water. Factor 50 white not oily cream and stay in the shade as much as possible.

Second the ultrasun recommendation. We use the spf30 family and it’s a lotion but it’s once a day. They definitely make an spf50, unsure about a spray. Also just wondering as you mention a mist if you’re applying enough as it’s really easy with those sprays not to put enough on. And that might explain the burning so quickly even with factor 50. It’s happened to me anyway!

I burn super easily, and use P20 SPF50 and it is brilliant as it really does last all day. I shower, then put it on and dance around for 10 minutes till it's dry and thats it done for the day .

Suggest sun cream plus loose fitting light clothes, hat, long sleeve top, trousers, wet suit if swimming, shoes
