Activities like Spain, but in Italy or France?

I'm after holiday advice. Is there such a place as we are dreaming of to suit everyone? We'd like water park and seaside fun like pedalo/ banana boat ride etc to entertain energetic 10yo DS and 11yoDD, though more DS who really needs to be busy! But DH and I would also like French or Italian food and wine in our holiday, rather than Spain/Balearics. Is there anywhere in France or Spain that offers busy (ok slightly cheesy) family hols? Would rather a hotel than self catering, having done that for years when they were small... Kids clubs or some kind of childcare would be a bonus...

I meant to say is there anywhere in France or Italy that offers this, but I'm sure you're more awake than me and worked that out already. Thank you for any advice...

Thanks ricekrispie. That looks perfect! Have you been there? Trip advisor reviews seem rather mixed...

Yes we've been and it was perfectly adequate for us. It was exactly as it says on the tin, nothing more, but we weren't expecting any more considering the reasonable price we paid for it. It was clean and friendly. The DC still keep in contact with the friends they made there.

Sounds absolutely ideal. Thank you very much! What did you decide was the best way of getting there?

We hired a car from Verona airport. It cost £150 for a week in August. It was really straightforward. The journey took 1.5 hrs.

Brilliant, thanks so much for your help.

Would a Eurocamp style site in France or Italy fit the bill? You can get all the bells and whistles to suit your DC (great swimming pool complexes/ slides/ children’s activities) but the location to suit you and your DH. So many locations in France and Italy (Lake Garda, Rome etc).

You could stay in a mobile home with AC (there are some really appealing modern ones now) and eat most/ all of your meals out either in onsite restaurants or further afield.
