Siblu/Eurocamp

We're thinking about booking a two week trip to a campsite in France this year, in the summer. However, having never done this before ever - we're not sure of where to go, whether there is a better company to use, much difference in campsites etc. Has anyone had any experience of any Siblu/Eurocamp/Keycamp places....are there any that you'd recommend. We're looking for somewhere with a kids club preferably and an outdoor swimming pool. Thank you !

We’ve booked through Yelloh and are going to a campsite in the Vendee. It was much cheaper than Eurocamp!!

Maybe start by thinking how you would travel so whereabouts in the country you would like to go. Worth looking at different providers on the same campsite.

If I were you, I'd consider going to two camps and doing a week at each.
Will you be driving from Calais? How much do you want to explore the local area? How old are your DC? And how far south are you prepared to go?

Thank you for your replies. I was weighing up the pros and cons of driving across, or flying and hiring a car. We want to go somewhere where it will be warm. I have one DC, he's 6. He's not too bad in the car - so driving across would be a good option.

My thoughts were to book a campsite called Yelloh Village Camping Le Chaponnel, and catching the ferry from Portsmouth to Caen and driving the rest. Has anyone stayed here and done that journey?

Many thanks

We've not been to that campsite, but we stayed with Siblu at a lovely campsite called Les Bois Dormant which looks like it's around 30 minutes north of the one you mentioned. With stops it was around a 5 hour drive from Caen, so definitely doable if your DC is not too bad in the car. You just have to be careful on Saturdays in high season, as the roads can get quite busy!
