Can’t do online check in for return flight does it matter?

I’m going to France hiking for a week and I won’t have access to emails, and won’t be able to recharge my phone. I’ve done online check in for outward flight, but does it matter that I’ll just turn up at the airport for my return flight? Thank you.

Depends who you are flying with. The budget airlines will charge you a hefty fee for checking in at the airport. Best to check the relevant website.

If it’s Ryanair if you pay for a reserved seat on the return flight, they give you can book it up to 30 days in advance.
Worth doing this or they will charge you 40euros at the airport to check in

It’s british airways. You can only online check in 24 hours in advance.

Can't you do it from where you are staying,or pay them to do it for you?

With BA you will be fine just turning up at airport. You do not need to do check-in in advance.

Can't you take a portable phone charger such as a 'pebble'or similar to use in an emergency and to check in.
I usually take one when I go abroad if in case I run out of charge.

Thanks all. I’m doing a 3 day hike and carrying all my gear so am trying to keep weight down as much as possible. Next time though I’ll definitely take a pebble type charger- need to buy one. Flight leaves at 7:20 tomorrow so no time to buy at airport. 4 am rise tomorrow Shock!
