Hi

I'm 5ft 11, 330 lbs . I'm size 26/28 UK sizing and I'm going to universal this week. I am in the process of losing weight (3stone so far) but time is now up and I'm terrified I won' fit 1)in the plane seat and 2) on anything in Universal Orlando resort.

I'm not a roller coaster lover so I'm not bothered about these but some of the other rides and attractions of like to do but the internet has me terrified. I' quite lucky that I carry my weight evenly but even so...does anybody have any words of advice or comfort?

I can' sleep over this.

Can you book extra legroom seats for the plane? DD and I travelled Virgin Atlantic and found that the extra legroom seats were 3 across, and most families hadn't booked them. We had 3 seats between the two of us both ways. You will have to have the arm rests down for take off and landing though.

I can't really answer your question about fitting in the rides, but DD has said that some of the rides that have safety barriers that come over your head might be a little uncomfortable.

Americnas are a large race so I think you shouldn't have any problem for most rides.

Have a great time.

I noticed some of the rides had a test seat to check fit and comfort so at least you can check before queing. If you are less interested in the thrill rides I think you will be fine. Well done for loosing 3 stone already . Enjoy your holiday.

I think the only rides you’ll have a problem with are the Harry Potter ones (they have a seat outside, red light means no, amber light means you need a larger seat and green light means you can sit anywhere.)

Rip ride rockit is pretty snug, as is hulk.

Don’t worry about the plane, they can offer you a seatbelt extender or you can order your own on amazon and keep it in your bag.

Spider-Man, Jurassic park, kong, minions... you’ll be absolutely fine.

Have you considered Disney? I’ve neber known anyone to have an issue there.

Congratulations on your weight loss! I know the crippling fear you’re feeling, I’ve had it for years and many trips and finally this year have decided I have had enough and have just hit a 4 stone weight loss. But even at my biggest, the fear was worse than the reality everytime. I’m sure you’ll have an incredible time :)
