Disneyland Florida HELP PLEASE!

I am a Disneyland novice. Please can anyone give me advice at where to start looking (which sites) for a good deal (If there is such a good thing) for Disneyland Florida this summer.

There will be 2 adults , 1 child (age 3) and hoping to go June or later (before summer holidays).

I know I have left it late but my son has only just got into Disney!

I've been browsing sites such as DisneyHolidays.co.uk and now am punchdrunk. Any advice would be appreciated.

Any suggestions re flights. Disney hotels. Where else to go after for Florida but non park bit of holiday.

I've been quite a few times and find the Dibb such a infodump that I've never used it - lots of people swear by it though.

We always find it cheaper to book flights and hotels separately.

Staying in a Disney hotel is much better in my opinion - really safe, free bus transfer from airport that gets you in the mood, drop off at hotel, free Disney buses to the parks all day every day (that are friendly and again, get you in the mood), lovely hotels at every price range with lots of food options. Only stayed offsite once, and hated it.

Staying onsite also gets you extra hours in the parks so you are guaranteed your favourite rides if you get there early enough pretty much.

We always move to a Universal one for a few days and do the same - less there for little ones, but definitely worth a couple of days for Dr Seuss etc.

I'd start with Expedia then check the flights on the specific airline sites and the Disney site too for direct hotels, but Expedia can sometimes be cheaper for the package.

Oh, the other good thing about staying in a Disney site is that the free bus system lets you keep popping back to the hotel if you need to - for naps, change of clothes, splitting a day between early start and late finish.

I went to the Dibb and didn't know where to start lol!

My neighbour said that booking in April is best as that’s when they do the free meal packages which are supposedly really worth the money especially for the character meals. I need to find out when they do that but for EuroDisney.

we found the books WDW with kids and Beyond WDW with kids really useful when planning our first time there.

you have left it incredibly late for this June as I am sure you realise so what is available to you is going to be very limited. if you want to do things like character meals etc people book these things up months and months in advance. also think about the weather. June is going to be really hot with a 3 year old in toe so you might want to pick a cooler time of year - after hurricane season in November would be ideal as kids really do suffer in the heat trailing around Disney. you also need to be aware that because of his age there will be quite a few rides he cant go on. we waited until ours were older 6/7 and went to Eurodisney when they were your sons age as it was less hot and less overwhelming. Eurodisney in June would be a great choice and far less expensive.
