Hey Galaxy -we'd come!
Of course it would have to be up to the style to which we've become accustomed....
P.S. Where is the Auvergne region ??

Ooooh, I'd LOVE to come - would definitely book in when you got it set up!!!!

Would we have driven through it (or past it)on the way from Normandy to the Jura? Only the summer meadows/breathtaking mountains/gorges etc sound a bit familiar.
Sounds brill anyway, Galaxy. Go for it! I'll join this orderly queue over here.

One of my best holidays ever was in the Tarn valley which is next door to the Auvergne region. It is gorgeous. lovely rivers, gorges etc. Will definitely be up for staying with you! Good luck, would love to settle there.

Oh, had 2 holidays in the Auvergne. Now I think it is lovely but it isn't very populated or popular. Inland and a long drive so puts off a lot of families I think. Knew one person from Clermont Ferrand and he was very surprised that I had been there and know someone else from the Auvergne and she was equally surprised that I knew the area.
The drive is probably the same as the Dordogne but people know what they are getting in the Dordogne iyswim. The Auvergne is a bit of a well kept secret I think.
Good luck if you do it, I'd go.

Hi Galaxy,
Could we have a triple bedded room please as my trio like to sleep tgether? We have actually just come back from very near that region, we rented a super house near Auzance and were 1 hours drive from the fabulous Puy de Dome. We had no idea that there were so many volcanoes, the scenery is stunning and lots to do with the kids. Definitely a place to go back to, good luck with your venture, or should I say........adventure!
