Hi guys I'm hoping some people out there may have some advice I am looking to get two procedures done (for myself) now i feel I am in the right place in my life to have something done for me for once.

So I've taken some advice for some other mummy's I know have traveled to have things done which seems to be becoming more popular because the price is far more reasonable here not compromising on care just cost

So advice on if anyone has been to either of these clients forme clinic in Prague Czech republic and europesurgrys Poland

I've contacted both and has advice of different consultants views sent photos and have done so much research, I just wanted to find a fresher view

Poland advices that you need to stay in Poland 5 days post surgery
Prague is 1 or 2 nights after surg
Clearly coming home sooner would be better however I wanted to see how long other people stayed ? And how they found there treatment

I thank you in advance for any responses

Hi there again! I’m all done, it went well, I come back to uk tomorrow. The clinic were great!

One question for any of the girls who’ve had surgery there, the dr said I should see my GP in a weeks time, did you guys see the GP in uk once you got back?

Nitties · 10/12/2018 12:53

Have anyone had tummy tuck at Forme clinic lately? I am booked for next week so starting to get little nervous. However the surgeon was very nice and tried to calm me down when i spoke to him i just need someone who can tell me more:-)

Lealea4 · 18/12/2018 09:34

I had it in April this year. No worries you will be in good hands. Everyone was taking care of me very nice. My surgeon was dr. Benes, who is yours? Just make sure you do not do so much physical activities and relax as much you can - anyway i am sure they will tell you:-) Good luck and have a fast recovery

Gabina84 · 18/12/2018 11:24

louisajane i did have check up with GP as well just in case. They can tell you if something is not right. That is what you have to do when you have surgery abroad. You do not travel back to the clinic, that would be pointless to have it done there then. How you recovering anyway?

Nitties · 21/12/2018 08:13

Lealea4 - thank you for advice. I had the surgery on Tuesday, will be flying back today. Great clinic and surgeon. They are taking care of me so nice. I just hope i will be able to move more by Tuesday:-)

Betty36 · 08/01/2019 11:37

Nitties how are you recovering? How did you manage to travel, was it comfortable? I contacted Forme clinic regarding tummy tuck. I honestly like the the price they offered for this surgery. I am supposed to have online consultation with dr. Benes next week so I am very curious.

Nitties · 15/01/2019 09:07

Have you already had your consultation? I feel pretty well, I thought I will be unable to move for longer. I just want to stop to wear compression garment. My tummy looks very good now, the pain is mostly gone and the scar looks much better. It is little itchy but it is much better than it was before😊. Traveling was ok, you just have to make yourself comfortable, just find the best position.

Betty36 · 04/02/2019 14:02

Hi thank you for your advice. Yes I have already had it. It went good, dr. Benes was very patient to answer all my question. I have already booked myself for April, could not get earlier date.

MummaL24 · 24/02/2019 12:18

Sorry I haven't been on this for so long I didn't see any of these messages are you all booked in to go? I am not able to book my breast in till May as surgery dates for August not in yet.

For my nose surgery I flew out on the Night before the op, and I flew home the day I was released from hospital

I had to go into Formé for 8am I stayed in the apartments at the hospital which is a giant building the hospital was I think 3rd or four floor and our apartment was on the 6th floor so I only had to travel in a lift from my room to the hospital . So I got they're at 8 am bad bloods and tests met my surgeon spoke through what I wanted and what he could doyou have a full medical before hand ecg bloods etc etc by about 10 my bloods was back so I was taken from the waiting room down to my surgery room, I shared a room with another girl my age who was also having her nose done she was so lovely and we both helped each other out in the hours to come following the op, I was given a nighty and my surgery socks the girl I was sharing with was taken in before me I felt so happy and relaxed I fell asleep for duration of TIas surgery and was woken up by a nurse who told me it was my turn I asked T how she felt and she was so happy said she had no pain nothing so I walked into the theatre really calm, I remember laying on the bed why they set up around me like most surgery's and the nurses was all speaking to me but to be fair I was so tired I fell asleep again before they sent me off to sleep haha, my surgery itself only took 45 minutes and I was only out of my room for 90 minutes before I New it I was being woken up asked if they're was anything I would like I was starving so I asked for food can of coke and some water everything was brought to my bed on a tray like I was in a 5 star hotel I had no pain was very comfortable I sat up talking to T most of the eve before falling asleep and being woken up in the morning with breakfast I was released a couple of hours after that after seeing my surgeon and looking st the photos he took during the op I left the hospital and I went out exploring I brought a baseball cap and went to the museums and went on a river boat to see Prague that eve I had a flight home and was home by 11pm they recommended I stayed 1 or 2 nights more but I didn't have too which I choose not to as I don't like being away from home if I am unwell and I didn't know how I was going to feel after the op, day 2 I felt shite as the swelling had come out it felt like I had a horrible cold and I needed rest so I was glad to be home if I'm honest had no issues with recovering everything was perfect have since sent photos to clinic and had conversations about my recovery I am looking forward to getting out they're again in August for my breasts

I know people are cautious of surgery abroad and I would have to agree a lot of places abroad I wouldn't travel too but at Formé I felt perfectly at home flight time from uk states it 2 hours it's shorter then that it in-fact out they're only 1 hour 20 and back is 1 hour 10 the apartments are clean and spacious the building is central the staff and nurses are so helpful I thought they're might be an issue with the speaking barrier but in-fact they're wasn't any issues at all

How did all you girls find it after surgery I am 8 months post op now and my nose is just starting to look smaller I didn't expect swelling to be this long as I normally heal quite quickly but this time not so much

Fill me in x

dietcokemegafan · 24/02/2019 12:25

If you have private surgery abroad, please don't go to your GP for follow up care, that would be using NHS resources. If you need followup care you'll need to find a private surgeon in the UK.

Mercury023 · 28/02/2019 18:36

Anyone had a facelift recently at this clinic?

MummaL24 · 28/02/2019 22:55

Can I ask girls who have had breast have anyone have implants or just uplifts? I was wondering about the draining situation weather you have drains after surgery or not?
Thanks xx

Anittas · 04/03/2019 12:55

Hi MummaL24 - I had only breast lift at Forme clinic but it has been a year ago. I had the drains, but I think they have been removed after 2 days. It was not so bad how it looked. Actually I did not feel it. Then I remember I just avoided activities for month or so. But it was worth, love the result. Not sure how about breast implants but it may be the same, it is better to ask.

Mercury023 · 04/03/2019 13:26

Anyone had a face lift at this clinic.?

MummaL24 · 06/03/2019 15:02

Not personally but when I had my nose done last year I got talking in the waiting room to a lady who had a face lift done they're she was from Surrey in the uk, I have to say she looked fantastic considering it was two days after an op she said she was really happy other then that I can't help if you email the clinic they have w review book which is kept in the waiting room and all patients are able to write in it after they're surgery . They're was a lot from the uk on face lifts maybe ask them to email you some of the reviews and people's advice and options and see how you feel after reading it x

Hi Mercury023. This is the question I would love to ask. I do not know anyone who had this surgery. I am booked in May for face lift at Forme clinic. Why I decided for this one is because I have friend who lives in Prague and she gave me recommendation. Everything seems good organized and the surgeon was great when I had the consultation. I am just little nervous but still excited. I look too old for my age and this is something I was thinking of for long time. But is it close now, so fingers crossed.

Luckies · 15/04/2019 11:55

Hi Leila8. Can you let me know how it went. I contacted Forme clinic regarding face lift. I have been deciding for a year and finally I took the step forward. I spoke to the doctor who helped me to understand this procedure and I am really happy to undergo it. My face looks very old for my age. Just want to wait after summer. Please give me update as soon as you can. Thank you

chuffnstuff · 19/04/2019 10:42

Hi, I know this is an older post, but can any of you ladies tell me whether you get your own room after surgery or is it a shared ward? I'm there on 30th for TT and lipo.

Also, my husband is coming with me. Do they allow visitors at all times or just certain hours? He wants to stay with me as much as possible post op.

Thanks

MummaL24 · 28/04/2019 08:43

Hey Hun, it depends how many other people are having surgery on the day I shared a room with another girl who was having her nose done on the same day yet in the room next to me theyre was a lady in they're on her own , after surgery the nurses will give you a call button and are in & out a lot you are aloud visitors after surgery Altho not before because the room has to stay clean and so do you once your in your grown etc my partner stayed at home with my kids and I went with my mother in law I was with her all morning till the hour before surgery when she left to go get lunch and I was taken to my room to get changed - both me and the other girl having our noses done she was from Canada so she spoke English and we had a good chat before hand I have to say neither of us was nervous at all - it is so quick before you know it your in & out, my mother in law brought me some mags in and had a cuppa but I was so tired I told her to go off and get dinner and relax we stayed in the apartments in the same building as the hospital so I felt much better knowing she was in the same building as me if I needed her , theyre is a cafe/restraint in the building too so she didn't have to go far to eat, I'm returning again in August for my BA i have been to visit places here and they don't compare to how comfortable you feel at Formé any other questions just ask I started this group for advise and I'm so glad a year later it's still being used to help others xx

Also I forgot to say if your having surgery done you can get the apartments cheaper with discount they is also a couple of hotels near by which Formé is also able to offer you discounted room rates drop Sabrina or whoever your patient co-ordinator is- also if you tell the clinic your flight details they'll organise your taxi for you our taxi driver was lovely so we booked him return to take us back home after surgery

Your morning they're your husband is able to be with you the whole process-

You will meet your surgeon first have your full consault and ask everything you need
You will then have bloods taken and blood pressure normal health checks your blood is taken off to a lab for testing which takes about an hour for results to come back they won't operate unless your bloods come back ok, you then see the nurse for more health checks weight hight etc then you will see a Dr who will take your medical history gives you a full body check out glands pulse then your results are all given to your surgeon and once everyone is happy you pay for your treatment and sign all your forms. After this you will be taken to your room and depending on what time your surgery is booked for you will get ready and be taken in for it, you can give your husbands phone number to the clinic and they can call him when you have come out to advise him your out and ok and when he's able to come see you etc till your up on ur feet and able to text ,

Thanks @MummaL24 that's really useful information Smile

Mollyy · 28/05/2019 10:04

Hi. Have you already had your sugery? How did it go? I am booked for 20th of Jun for my Tummy tuck with dr. Benes. Have been planning this surgery year and can not believe it is so close now. I have got already flight booked and also accommodation. All for good price. How long did you stay in Prague? I am planning to stay for one week hopefully it will be enough😊

chuffnstuff · 28/05/2019 12:40

@Mollyy I'm 4 weeks post op today! I had a full tt and lipo on both hips. Still slightly swollen from the lipo but am massaging daily and wearing a compression belt.

The clinic is brilliant and the staff are all so nice.

Word of warning... if there are boob jobs scheduled on the same day as yours, you'll be last to go into surgery. There were two girls having boob jobs and I didn't go in to surgery until 7pm. Because they go home the following morning they do them first so they have a decent recovery time.

I stayed another 3 nights following the 2 nights at the clinic, as that's what they recommend. I actually felt well enough to get out and about and was walking 3-5 miles a day!

Good luck!

Mollyy · 20/06/2019 09:23

@chuffnstuff Thanks for you reply. I see you are recovering good. I am very excited. Everything is sorted I just contacted the coordinator to make sure I will get picked up at the airport😊. I see that one week will be enough. Happy for you and fingers crossed for me.
