I know it’s rainy season in July but has anyone been that can tell me what it’s like, ie does it tend to rain at nights, or shower on and off during the day or absolutely chuck it down over the day?

We spent 15 nights in July/August a couple of years ago. It was hot, probably too hot for lots of walking around. There was one day of heavy rain and then a couple of days with intermittent heavy showers. I’d go again at that time of year.

Great thank you, I wouldn’t mind a break from the sun for an hour or so but not all day.

We went end of July/August and landed in a hurricane. Other guests told us it had been a tough couple of days with it. But the next morning it was beautiful sunshine and we had a very hot two weeks of perfect weather, not a spot of rain

Not so good about the hurricane but great that you had a lovely 2 weeks

It's an enormous country! I had a month there in July/Aug a few years ago mainly from Mexico City south (still a huge area). No rain, but it was incredibly humid in the Yucatan visiting ruins even early in the morning. Caribbean coast lovely ... and in the NW, a hurricane had been through with big floods.

Oh if it helps it’s Riveria Maya I am going to.

We went to Riviera Maya area last year. The odd, short downpour and thunderstorm, but mostly very hot, sunny and very humid.

I’ve been to Cancun in July twice and both times the weather was beautiful. Sunshine until three’ish where there’s be half an hour of heavy rain but people would just get in the pool or go to get something to eat because it was still warm whilst it rained and it was so short lived.

Fantastic thank you so much
