We were thinking Mauritius but not sure now....

Any recommendations for great fun places with a touch of 4 /5 luxury with a kids club for 3yr olds to dip into?

Beach/warm/things to do / food for a newly weaning baby etc.

moon on a stick?

Mauritius is great with children that age. Several years ago we went to Shandrani and it was brilliant with our 3 year old. Also close to the airport which is handy with little ones.

Yes Mauritius is best IMO. Yes look at the Beachcomber resorts (Victoria, Shandrani, Canonnier etc).

If you want other suggestions I'd recommend speaking to Tots Too or the Family Holidays Company

Powder Byrne do beach holidays with “free”
Children’s clubs out of school holiday times. They do Antigua and Mauritius. I think Antigua is an 8 hour flight, so perhaps less effort?

Mauritius Lux Belle Mare is wonderful

Yes agree, Lux Belle Mare is lovely! The pool is very baby friendly, though there is no separate baby pool. But Beachcomber resorts work out better value if you want a separate room for the dc to sleep in as they have family apartments (in Lux you'd need to shell out for interconnecting rooms). Beach is lovely at Lux but our toddler decided she hated sand at the time... Hmm

Caribbean flight is shorter but the jet lag is horrid - heard several tales of parents on the beach at 3am with their jet lagged toddler. With Mauritius you can get overnight direct flights, if your baby will sleep in a bassinet and your toddler will watch movies that's survivable...
