Just wanted to rave about Haigh Hall - I took the boys there today for the second time and it's just fantastic. Shop and cafe (not posh but does the trick), the most wonderful views, open spaces to fly a kite, miniature train and secret tiny trains that aren't signposted and feel like a real find (didn't discover them the first time!). Plus playground and other stuff we haven't even got round to seeing like a miniature village.

here it is

The hall looks lovely from the outside - haven't been in yet.

Can see me taking the boys on most weekends this summer - it's so relaxing and the perfect place for picnics and outdoor playing. Sigh!

i don't think you can go in the hall--- private functions only.

they also do craft activities in the rooms above cafe.

Haigh Hall sounds great - will definitely visit.
Croccy trails are very good for active kids who don't mind getting wet or muddy.
