All Inclusive Recommendations

Hi All

We have a holiday booked to Belek in Turkey in May but due to the recent activity in that area we have decided to change our booking to somewhere else. Can anyone please recommend a really great family all inclusive for 2 adults and a 12 and 2 year old. I am quite picky, it must be 4 or pref 5 stars, 12 year old would like slides (don't have to be massive waterpark but maybe 3 or 4 decent slides. We tend not to venture out much so a larger hotel would be great but that's not to say if we were near a village or town we wouldn't leave the hotel. Thank you in advance!

I took my girls to Rhodes in 2013. We stayed at the Aegean Blue in Kolymbia.

It was great. Food was excellent, hotel lovely, incredibly clean, lots of pools. The beach isn’t great (shingle not sand) but we weren’t bothered it has its own water park where we spent a lot of our time!

My girls were then 14, 9 and 6 and had a blast.

Thanks Sidge. We actually stayed at the Rhodes Holiday Village 3 years ago, next door the Aegean Blue and we thought it looked lovely. I'll take a closer look.

What sort of budget?

ElfEars · 19/04/2018 11:38

The Blue Lagoon Village in Kos is a lovely 5 star all inclusive. Fairly quiet and secluded but plenty of pools, waterpark, restaurants and on the beach. If you'd prefer somewhere more lively the Blue Lagoon Resort is also lovely but less luxurious.

Around 2k for the hotel. We've already paid for flights to Turkey but we can swap those to a different destination. Would like at least 10 nights.

Thanks ElfEars that looks lovely as well- definitely the kind of standard I'm looking for.

If it's just the region of Turkey you don't like and not Turkey itself I can highly recommend Otium Eco Club in Side. It's fantastic, wonderful for kids, beautiful grounds, fab food, and it has 3 or 4 slides with access to it's sister hotel the Otium Seven seas which has even more.

We went to turkey stayed at the titanic fantastic holiday loads for kids to do stayed for 10 nights xx

HelenLA · 19/04/2018 11:57

Ah Titch147 we have booked the Titanic in Belek. It looks absolutely amazing and has everything we want I'm just really uncertain now about how safe it will be. I know I am probably being stupid and have more chance of being knock down by a bus but I just don't want to go on holiday worrying.

We went to the Atlantica Portobello in Kos a few years ago and it was lovely. It has a private beach plus a waterpark literally over the road that you are entitled to free entry into as much as you want.

I would recommend upgrading rooms if you can afford it as the basic rooms weren't great but the upgraded ones were fab.

It has 3 restaurants plus a snack bar by the beach and a swim up bar (which the kids loved!)

Probably slightly less quality than the Aegean Blue/Holiday Villages on Kos and Rhodes but the waterpark and beach made up for it I think. I would go back in a flash but the kids didn't like the fact the pool was saltwater but if your DC aren't as fussy as mine, the pool was great Wink

Theromanempire · 19/04/2018 12:05

Oh I forgot - they had a cocktail list of about 20 cocktails which they prepared fresh - never got bored with those Grin

HelenLA · 19/04/2018 12:08

Thanks Theromanempire I'll take a look. We've done both the HV in Kos and Rhodes and liked them both.

Recent activity????? Confused What are you on about?

Belek isn't that far away from Side (another Otium Eco Club fan here - though we stayed next door at Otium Seven Seas) and there isn't any trouble whatsoever there.

If you're worried about Syria - it's a very, very, very long drive away and the tourist resorts are practically worlds apart.

I haven't heard of ANY trouble in tourist resorts of Turkey. I would much rather holiday in Turkey than in Europe TBH! Security is second to non at the airports (security BEFORE check-in, security AFTER check-in and security AGAIN at the gate).

I can recommend:
Otium Seven Seas in Side Turkey
Otium Eco Club in Side Turkey
Grand Yazici Club Turban in Marmaris Turkey
Letoonia Club resort in Fethiye Turkey

IFA Interclub Atlantic Gran Canaria

Many people don't share your worries; holidays and flights to Turkey are actually on the up by up to 114% as claimed by some tour operators.

What exactly are your concerns?

Oludeniz lykia world!

MrsICantSayMyName · 19/04/2018 21:49

It has everything don't need to leave if u didn't want to Lots pools water park food varies throughout the restaurants, own beach etc

ItsASairFecht · 19/04/2018 22:00

How lovely to find another Otium Eco fan! we had a fantastic time there, and they were so good with the children.

HelenLA · 20/04/2018 13:01

Thanks Guys. Bangingmyheadoffabrick wall - as I said above I am quite likely over thinking things - we went to Turkey 4 years ago and had absolutely no problems whatsoeverever and I know that anything can happen anywhere. I guess I'd just feel safer in Spain or Greece which I know is ridiculous. We haven't ruled out Turkey completely and the Titanic Belek we have booked does look amazing.

I second Blue Lagoon Village. I am ridiculously fussy about my holidays but we have been 2 years in a row.

If you can upgrade to a swim-up do, it's cheaper usually to do it via the hotel on email. Great water sports team, 5 restaurants and the entertainment will be better this year now that TUI aren't doing it!

Off to a Sensatori this year which are also supposed to be great but it will be our first year at one so can't vouch.

HelenLA · 20/04/2018 17:10

Love the look of blue lagoon but can't find any availability for the dates we want!!!
