Driving to Heathrow with two under 3

Just curious if see if anyone has driven approx 3 hours to an airport (heathrow to be precise) with a pair of kids in tow, namely a 1.5year old and a 3year old.

I haven't used the motorway since I passed my driving test 11 years ago. Eekh..

Anything to take into consideration? Any tips to take on board?

Maybe do a bit of practice on a motorway first? If you’re heading to Heathrow then presumably that involves m25/m4 which can be busy and has lots of lanes. But I’m sure the kids will be fine, they’ll probably fall asleep depending on the time of day. If they don’t then iPad and snacks. And allow longer than you need just in case there’s traffic, especially if it coincides with rush hour. It’s very well signposted but consider getting google maps up on your phone too just so you get a bit more notice when your exit is coming up.

Thank you.

I'm looking to leave at 11.am and I'm hoping traffic is not too crazy.

Definitely will be loading them with snacks and sadly I haven't invested in an Ipad. Hmmm...
