Anybody flown shorthaul from there recently? Last time we were there (6 months ago) the queues stretched all the way to check-in - is it still like that, please?

Probably won't be now, most airports have got it sorted and are a lor quicker at getting you through, plus travelers know more about the new regulations so don't hold things up so much.

Mind you there is always one person having an arguement about a bottle of water despite standing in front of loads of signs telling them not allowed.

Thanks, Skribble, will keep fingers crossed

Unless there is a mum in front trying her luck with playdo .

Oh good grief (they don't, do they???) (actually I can imagine they do, perfect for keeping the kids amused and it wouldn't cross your mind it could be taken for something else...I will try to avoid queues with mums in )

Hi WendyWeber, I fly out of Manchester fairly frequently, and the queues are variable. However, the staff are very good at pulling people forward if their flights are about to depart.
