Looking for some advice. We have booked a week away at a caravan park for the first time with baby he is 5 months old and was a preemie so is small for his age. I'm not sure whether to go down the travel cot route or to take his moses basket??
I feel like we will be hauling enough never mind the moses basket and stand but not sure if I'd be comfortable with him in the travel cot???? Please help x

If he sleeps well in the basket at home I'd take it with you. Yes it's big but you need to make your life as easy as possible.

If you use a cot at home then I'd go with the travel cot as it's going to be a change anyway!

I'd take the basket just in case. After all, it's meant to be a holiday for you!

Would the travel cot definitely fit in your bedroom? Caravan rooms are only small generally.

Half the issue is I don't have a clue what the rooms will be like. The last time we went to a caravan I couldn't even have fitted the moses basket in the room 😂😂 I think we'll need to take the two cars to fit everything in. Lol

I would be surprised if you could fit a travel cot in the bedroom. If you still want him in with you. I would take the basket. Do you need the stand though or could you just put the basket on the floor for a few nights?

Some holiday companies have dimensions on their website.
Other thought is does your oral have a carry cot attachment? If he’s small enough for Moses basket should be small enough for that. Would be less to transport and you could park it in bedroom at night.

When I went on first caravan holiday with ds I couldn’t get travel into bedroom so dragged it to doorway and turned double bed round( not literally- moved pillows to foot end etc) this meant I was 30cm away from him- just the same as at home.

He likes the motion of the rocking stand for the moses so would rather take it.
I'm taking the carry got attachment anyways might try him in it a couple of nights before we go and see if he'll settle it it fine.

we did this in 2nd bedroom 2 single bed screws to floor .undid 4 screws and stack beds up and fit in travel cot. Curtains paper thin will be up at dwan with the light , used to take a roll of kitchen foil and tape to black window out worked a treat .
