Snap, discoinferno, I started this Guernsey thread yesterday ... just keep bumping, there are so many messages per day that they fall off the Active Conversations. I'll keep a lookout for your thread as well, and welcome to Mumsnet.

hi katzguk, I'm going to Guernsey on Weds so if you have any info on cheap and med price range restaurants (no kids) that would be great, thanks.

Discoinferno,
DB = dear brother
DS = dear son
have a look at the top of this thread under Acronyms List for lots more. HTH

katzguk · 08/08/2004 14:39

okay spoke to DB he says simply ireland is great at night for drinking but thinks it would be fine during the day wih children.

i will get a more comprehensive list off of my sister later.

i can recommend the cobo bay tea rooms which are the oposite side of the island to st peter port but the cakes are great.

katzguk · 08/08/2004 19:44

my sister recommends:

Red Onion (sports bar but the food is good)
La Pearla (near castle cornet £10 menu)
Riva (for early evening dinning)
The club house (£10 menu)
Dog House (just out of town, live music, good food but you need to book)

hope this helps, have a nice time
