We’ve planning a week in France in August and need advice! We’re thinking a couple of days in Lyon before heading south into Provence. We have a two and a four year old but are taking back up so there will be six adults and the two kids in total. Anyone got any ideas of where to stay and what to do? I’m dreaming of a farmhouse with a pool and a nearby village. Thanks!

What's your budget?

Good question! I think we could do £175-200 a night if it was between all of us. Is this realistic?

I don't know if this link will work, but it's an idea of what you can get...

That's a favourite location of mine. Maybe you need to decide whereabouts you want to be first?

We stayed in Flassan a couple of years ago - really recommend it. Village at the foot of mont ventoux. A shop, a restaurant, and a pizza van 👍

There was a larger town 5 mins drive away.

It was on either home away or owners direct - 3 bed house, plus 2 bed cottage. Pool, table tennis, bliss.

Whole area is lovely. Enjoy!

Thank you! Yes those were places looked great. I’ll check out Flassan, any other villages look good? I’ve been recommended the Luberon area.

Here are some options!

I wouldn't recommend Les Baux as a base, but it's well worth a visit!
