Packing 15 year old sun holiday

My 15 year old son hates shopping and pretty much lives in joggers, T-shirts and trainers! I need to take him shopping for our week beach holiday to Majorca as he will need quite a lot of clothes ! Am not looking forward to it! Am trying to write a basic list of what he will need and quantities for a week - clothes, footwear etc - so we can go into town and out like a military operation !! Any help with the list appreciated with quantities for a week. We are staying in a hotel so will be eating there each evening. Thanks Smile

Flip flops
Baseball cap
At least two pairs of trunks
A t shirt for each day (normally we wear our clothes two days but he's a teenage boy AND it's going to be hot! Save yourself the pong!)
Two shirts for restaurants
Two hoodies for chilly evenings (take one on the plane)
Jeans or joggers for wearing on the plane (one pair perhaps to cover both directions)
Five pairs of shorts
Trainers for day trips
Smarter shoes for evenings out such as loafers, Toms/espadrilles or plimsolls
Backpack for taking as hand luggage on the plane

So you have a Primark nearby? I send DSs off with a basket and instructions on what to get whilst I look for me and DD and we usually get it all done in one hit.

You might need more pants so you can pretend he will change them each day. We always seem to get to holiday time and find there aren’t enough pants for a fortnight. I’m not sure why.

I’d add socks to the list too. Possibly trainer socks or the smaller “invisible” ones

unless he never washes that is too much. Assuming no laundry :

7 pairs of underpants.
7 pairs of socks
7 t shirts
2 pairs boardies for swimming.
1 pair jeans, 1 sweatshirt - wear on plane
2 pairs shorts
1 pair flip flops, 1 pair trainers - wear the latter on the plane
1 hat
1 pair sunglasses

No need for smart stuff if he won't wear it, and probably too hot anyway.

Replace some of the t shirts with vests if it's going to be hot.

Many hotel restaurants ask men to wear long trousers in the evening but I don't know if that would include a 15 YO. Look in the brochure or hotel website.

My list would be identical to specialsubject's only
Possible changer would be 1 pair swimming shorts would probably do and no need for many socks.
I pair of shorts and if necessary the jeans should be suitable for restaurants and visiting places of interest ( not full of holes).
My DS16 won't shop and has a dreadful selection of ill fitting, hole filled often aged sportswear so I sympathise.

Thanks for the tips. I'll put together a list based on your help... in preparation for a trip to town !! X
