Ibiza in April (with kids) - Self Catering - Which town?

So I’m planning a trip to Ibiza with my husband and 3 kids next April. I know the weather could be hit and miss. Hopefully more hit...
Could anyone recommend a town to stay in? Santa Eulalia too quiet? Playa d’en bossa better?
I’m looking for a simple holiday. The ability to walk to a few shops/restaurants and good beaches.
Also, if the weather was poor, indoor options would be great. Does anyone know of any health club/hotel/spa resorts that you can pay for a day pass at that time of year??
Thanks

I stayed in Santa Eulalia with DS who was 3 at the time. Beaches were beautiful, it was fairly quiet but that's what I was after. Playa den bossa is a bit more "clubby" but I don't think the season will have started yet so you might be OK!

Thanks. Been looking at accommodation and even in April it’s not a cheap place is it? I’m still tempted though...

Ibiza veteran here!! Ibiza will be really quiet in April, the season is May to early October, so there won't be much going on. Santa Eulalia is quiet and also hard to get to other places, we really struggled getting taxis even in August so id definitely say Playa Den Bossa, although the beach is lovely. At Playa den bossa there is another gorgeous beach (bora bora) you can stay at the quiet end as the party end is quite loud- depends on the age of your kids. There's a big water park in playa den bossa great for kids and can walk there if I remember rightly. Plus easy to get to Ibiza town, short bus ride and they have loads of restaurants, you can climb up to the top of the 'castle' in the old town and all the big yachts are in the harbour. Buses are frequent and cheap from Ibiza town or playa den bossa, it's worth a trip to San Antonio in the early evening to watch the sunset (one of the best sunsets in the world) there's always loads of kids there and it's quite safe as long as you stay away from the west end - although in April there won't be much open. If you can hire a car it's worth doing to the top of the island and it's such a small island nowhere is that far away. Let me know if you have any more questions I've been 10 times!
