Recommendations for short break in Spain

We are looking to book a family weekend break in mainland Spain or the Balearics. DS has just turned three. Ideally we are looking for a hotel/apartment with a good pool complex to keep him entertained. Due to work commitments we can't go for longer We are not fussed if the hotel is all inclusive but the location of the accommodation should not be too far from airports to minimise the transfer time. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Sunset beach benalmadena is really lovely. Benalmadena? I've been to nicer resorts aesthetically speaking but its right next to the beach and has a beautiful pool area and its only 20 mins from Malaga. I'd definitely go again

Forgot to say we do a train transfer from the airport then grab a taxi from station to the hotel but a taxi from the airport is only 25 euros.

Have a look at stops on the train that goes west from Malaga airport. It's really easy.
There are plenty of hotels on the strip around Torremolinos and Benalmadena. PILS live out there and often find hotels on Booking.com.
