Hand luggage and ordering nappies to airport 😬

Has anyone ordered nappies/food to boots at the airport beforehand? If so did it all have to fit in your hand luggage bag or were you allowed to carry it on in its own carrier bag?

Ryan air definitely wouldn’t let you do this, I remember a few years back they made a big deal of the fact their ‘second small carry on’ aka a handbag allowed you to take bottle of wine from duty free. So it’s airport shopping instead of a handbag not as well as.

However, most (emphasis on most there, definitely check) airlines allow you a baby changing bag in addition to your regular allowance so if you you could fit the nappies/food in a regular changing bag you’d be fine. Other airlines might be alright with it as an additional plastic bag, I’m partly bumping for you so others will (hopefully) chime in with their experiences.

Personally I just buy nappies when I arrive though, it’s so much easier than adding another quite bulky item to drag through the airport.

Yes, but it was lots of food for a multiple allergy baby and we wouldn't have been allowed it through security (but would have needed some of it on the flight). We weren't questioned about carryon size but it was not a low cost airline
