My DH and I are going a double confirmation of 2 very grown up teenage boys on sunday. Both boys have already been christened, and my DH is godfather to one of them. they have had christening presents already...... should we buy confirmation presents?

I would.

I would for a godchild. It's a different occasion, after all. And what are godparents for if not to buy the occasional gift?

trouble is they are brothers so can't buy for one wthout the other...

I would.

I only buy Christmas and birthday presents for my godchildren, and both have siblings, who have their own godparents.

For me, it is part of establishing a special relationship with the child I made promises for.

You could just get something very small for the other - or even just a card.
