Looking for a short break in Feb next year. 23rd Feb onwards. Budget not too much of a worry but wouldn't spend more than £700 each. Probably for about 4 nights. Would want to see Athens and other historical sights and otherwise chill out.

I did a short break to Athens with my ds a couple of years ago. Booked through British airways holidays stayed in a lovely 5* hotel think it was the George right in the centre. Price was about £350 each. We had a great time city easy to walk around seeing all the sights, food was cheap and delicious. Caught bus from airport to hotel.

That's a great suggestion, thanks. Off to search for hotels in the centre, within walking distance of the centre and the sights.

The Peloponese is jam packed with classical sites, Sparta, Corinth, Epidaurus, Mycenae. It's quite accessible from Athens although the sites of interest are widely spread. As a base, Nafplion or Kalamate -erhaps.
