Anyone got any decent recommendations for good parking (not all rammed in as some reviews suggest) and one night's accommodation at Gatwick South terminal? Thanks Flowers

Gatwick, sorry!!!! Ignore typo in the title. I wish we could edit in a certain time frame.

The Bloc Hotel you can add Valet parking to your booking for not very much. Very handy.

I can't help with accommodation, but the official long stay car park is what I usually use and ive never had problems. Book in advance and it's slightly cheaper. The car park is sign posted and easy to find and the drop of bus runs frequently and is only about 5 mins from the departure drop off point.

This is a brilliant way of finding cheap parking. There are some nice pubs with rooms and B&Bs nearby (try searching Horley or Charlwood). There's a Premier Inn at Gatwick too which might be cheaper than some other options.

We stayed at the Hilton which was attached to one of the terminals.
It was better than I expected. The beds were comfortable and it was fairly quiet.

For accommodation you really can't beat the Bloc Hotel for convenience as it's IN the terminal. We've stayed there a couple of times. All of the rooms are very compact but if you need a bit of extra space they do larger/family sized rooms.

Premier inn is just outside the terminal building. Very handy

Thank you for all the recommendations. Much appreciated.

I wasn't keen on the Bloc hotel, we had an entry level room and it felt claustrophobic. The Sofitel is nice, we got a good deal on booking.com.

Glitteryfrog · 08/04/2018 18:10

Premier inn.
Get the deal with the parking thrown in.

Oak tree Lodge B&B is great and the owners drop you off at the terminal and pick you up and you can also leave your car with them. Cost about £120 for 2 weeks

Premier Inn definetely! It’s bang slap next to the North Terminal & the 1 minute shuttle to the South. Very convenient & reasonably priced & you won’t have the hassle of a shuttle bus. The Sofitel (also at the N Terminal) is nice but the rooms aren’t any bigger than the Premier Inn & it’s more expensive.

SJane45S · 09/04/2018 06:58

Ps if you have an early morning flight, some airlines let you check your baggage in the night before

I stayed at the holiday inn and used their long stay parking, had no problems at all and much cheaper than Gatwick long stay.

SusanneLinder · 15/04/2018 16:34

Dunno about hotels but I used the Purple Parking at Gatwick

fuzzyduck1 · 17/04/2018 06:35

Search the web normally find a good deal last time I flew out of Gatwick got hotel an 2weeks parking under £100. Do you have any company perks where you work you can normally get a discount through them
