Brighton accommodation?

Anyone got any recommendations, please? Planning weekend with grandparents and ds aged 4 in Brighton in the autumn, so looking for clean, comfortable accommodation within say 10-15 mins' walk of town centre. Tried tourist information website, but there are 100s of faceless B&B all with similar rates, emailed a few, which range from warm and friendly but booked up, to rude and unfriendly but booked up. Would really like a personal recommendation for somewhere childfriendly.

We stayed at the premier lodge hotel right in the centre, the rooms were fantastic lovely and big. Not much other factilites but there is a small breakfast room and bar. Rates are very reasonable.
Premier lodge have their own website if you google for it.
