I am taking dds to Marrakech shortly and please could someone let me know what currency I should take? Also do I obtain money in UK or once we arrive in Morocco?

Moroccan dirhams, they aren't that common in the high street money shops so you might have to pre order them.

They do have a lot of converter places there, our hotel reception did it.

Ds is just back from Morocco. You can't buy dirhams outside the country. You can exchange at the airport, some hotels, cash points.

It’s a restricted currency, if I remember rightly - you can’t take it in or out of the country. But you can get dirhams at your hotel reception usually. Remember to spend them all or exchange them before you leave Morocco- they’re worthless back here and you can’t then change them back.

The exchange rate was great in my hotel. I took english pounds and changed them there.

I could only get the money once I was in the country. I think it's a closed currency, so you have to change it all before you leave as well.

I pre ordered and got mine at the uk airport, prior to entering Morocco in November just gone 🤷🏼‍♀️

You can get them easily in cash machines over there.
