Any preference on these hotels? They are quite pricy so it will be an investment for us, and would like to get it right! We have DC who is 3.5 years. I like the bigger beach in Cala Mesquida, also thought the photos of the apartments in Insotel Cala Mandia were a bit basic for the price but I may be wrong! Any leads on how to choose very welcome Comparing food, service, kids club, beach, value for money.... thanks!

My friend holidayed in high season at cala mesquida, I'm not sure which hotel. She had a lovely time however the sea was quite rough, often red flagged and someone had to be rescued from drowning when she was on the beach there. This may have been an exceptional week weather wise, she didn't know.

I think Cala Mandia is in the North, north west from Port Pollensa. Note sure about Cala Mesquida but will check

We went to Insotel Cala Mandia for 2 weeks in 2016 so I can gives you the positives and negatives, don't know anything about the other hotel I'm afraid.
Really liked it, there are four separate areas to the hotel and a really good splash park for the DCs and also an outdoor play area. The main downside is that the different areas are separated by a public road. The room was good as there was a bedroom for the adults and the DCs had their own area, separated by the bathroom. The room was cleaned to a good standard.
Food was good on variety and ok on quality. The all inclusive was great as you could help yourself to ice creams, lollies and drinks whenever, no queuing. The beach was nice and the service in the hotel was very good.
Overall would recommend.

We went to Insotel. Cala Mandia , a few years ago though
Fab room. A seperate area for DD
Best all inclusive we’ve ever had. Cava readily available , ice cream freezers full of proper ice cream like cornettos etc Serrano ham being carved , and paella etc
Very busy , crowded pool area , lots going on with entertainment team
