DP has been away for 4 months and I’m due our baby in July so want to book a little ‘babymoon’ for when he comes home.

Main requirements are somewhere beautiful, good food, either lake or sea for me be bob around in and not much walking. Probably looking at £1k for a few nights end of May. Only thought so far is lake Garda but no idea what there is to do!

Second task is something for 2 year old DS early June. Again a few nights is fine, want a pool with slides etc, short walk to beach and town. Possibly just me and him for around £500. Is it doable?

Please help an indecisive hormonal lady sort her shit out!

Could take DS away early May if it’s cheaper

We are going to Lake Garda in May. We have booked to stay in a campsite in an air conditioned static home for 4 nights to keep costs down and the whole holiday including flights has cost us around £700. Lake Garda looks beautiful so we are looking forward to it. Have heard Lake Como is lovely too.

My OH and I had a blissful holiday at this hotel in Sardinia. What a stunning location, with gorgeous sea views from the sun terrace. There's a large swimming pool and spa. It has a dedicated area at the Lido di Orrì beach, where guests have free use of a parasol and sun loungers. There also is a shuttle service from/to the private beach and an airport shuttle. As it says on the link I've given, it's rated particularly highly by couples. The rooms are so romantic! www.booking.com/hotel/it/relais-monteturri.en-gb.html
Sardinia is sufficiently far south for the sea to be comfortably warm in May.
