How to keep 19 month old entertained on a 3 hour train journey!?

We are traveling to Bristol for the Easter weekend this Friday and will be taking the train.
I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to keep a 19 month old entertained?
I am dreading her moaning and whining on the train with other people around! I know people say "oh bloody ignore those people, if they have kids themselves they'll understand!" But I'm still worried about itGrin

Walk her up and down (holding both hands) lots, food, a pot of play doh, books.

I'm taking a 7yo 4yo and 14mth old on my own from london to aberdeen by train soon

Current main debate is whether to buy tickets for the 2 younger despite under 5s being free so that they definitely get a seat

A new sticker book and one of those water magic books (where you “colour in” using a pen filled with water) did the trick in a similar length journey when my DS was a similar age. That and lots of small snacks!

Download a series of Peppa Pig on your iPad/similar if you have one.

Helspopje absolutely buy them tickets. We have since DS was tiny so we could use a railcard. The seats will make a real difference in a journey that length.

iPad or similar as an emergency source of entertainment, snacks and perhaps a small bag or duplo or similar if your planning on having a table seat. Try and sit next to another child if possible and hope they make friends - recently on a train a little girl guessing three or four took my little one under her wing and kept him entertained for a good half an hour just by playing peek a boo with him across the aisle!
