Can I get a deal if I wait until the very last minute or not?

Any seasoned travellers on here? I have a week off second week of Easter. Want to go somewhere warm but as cheap as possible ( but nice) 3 of us

If I wait until a week or few days before do package operators /holiday company discount massively what is left? Or not should I just bite the bullet and compromise now on a week in the rain in the UK?

Not really. If there's only a little bit left, then the money has been made so no need to discount and prices will stay where they there.

Huge discounts come when there's loads of availability and no demand.

Placemarking as I have been wondering the same thing OP! I get my annual bonus in the last week of April and a weeks annual leave booked first week of May, I am really hoping we can get a last minute deal!

Good luck to you - we booked relatively last minute (about 3 weeks in advance) last year and got a good deal to Gran Canaria with Jet2, using a free child's place. It came to £500 for the week inc flights for the 3 of us.

There’s not a lot left for Easter to be honest as some of the warm Easter destinations are still off limits for a lot of people (Egypt,Tunisia) so anywhere else warm fills up quickly

If you don’t get a last minute deal, you could do easyJet/ Ryanair and air bnb. We are going to Greece at Easter on that combination, £330 for flights and 300 accommodation for 3.
