First trip to Efteling in May... Efteling Hotel or Bosrijk

Hi All

We’re off to Efteling in may with our daughter age 4... I’d like you advice re staying at the Efteling hotel v Staying in the Bosrijk village in one of the houses/apartments. Bosrijk looks beautiful but the hotel is closer and has restaurant/bar etc.. Also I heard the characters come out at breakfast is that true?

Spoke to Customer Service who are happy to change to Bosrijk if they have last minute availability.. Usually there check in days are Monday Wednesday and Friday, however about 10 days prior to arrival they sometimes change the rules if there is availability! Fingers Crossed

Ooh I've been thinking of Efteling for October half term. How soon do I need to book? And is there plenty to do if the weather is rubbish...?

No problem!! I would say check out if the Dutch schools are on holiday at the same time! The picture attached shows how busy it will be in October...We’re going after the 2nd May bank Holiday as it’s Quieter!
