I tried lastminute.com but they ask for a destination and don't seem that cheap. Destination not too importantf or us as long as its in Europe.

Is it too near the tourist high season to get cheapo Ryanair £12.00 each way flights?

Please can anyone tell me what sites/tourist agents to try? Am really inexperienced at this so would appreciate some help.

What dates did you want?

LilyLoo · 07/05/2007 15:17

try jet 2 / easyjet maybe look at amsterdam can usually get resonable flights there.

glassslipper · 07/05/2007 15:17

where from?

Ivor · 07/05/2007 15:18

Watch out for the surcharges and taxes, not usually inluded in the initial flight price

Preferably a saturday or sunday between now and end of May. Ideally London City airport. We are very near LCA, so even if fares from theree are more expensive, we would save considerable time and money compared to Gatwick or Heathrow. Should I do a search starting with LCA?

Amsterdam sounds good.

With Easyjet

Flying from Luton to Amsterdam and same for Return, Saturday 19th May. Early morning flight and late flight return so you can make the most of your day.

Ryan Air

From Luton to Barcelona.

Nbg · 07/05/2007 15:33

actually just checked the times with Ryan Air and they arent very good.

tigermoth · 07/05/2007 15:43

thanks, Nbg. That is really interesting. Have been browsing the sites you linked to.

It's the getting to and from the airports that's a bit of a problem. I wonder how easy it is to get cheap last minute deals from London City airport, at least for the outward bound, early morning flight?

www.skyscanner.net - put in the dates and all the cheapies will come up.

Nbg · 07/05/2007 15:47

Yeah I couldnt find LCA on those sites and just so you know, Jet2.com dont go from any London airports.

thanks glasslipper

Skyscanner is a really easy website to follow - that's a great link, stylecouncil. I found something from Gatwick to Milan for the day that would work out at approx £90.00 for two people. Definitely food for thought.
