Shopping Advice USA

Hi! We're going to Florida on holidays with our 21months old and 7months old and I'd like some shopping advice from anyone that's been there recently.
1- Would they let me travel with formula bottles and Ella pouches on the plane?
2- Is there an Ella pouches brand equivalent that I can get in the supermarket?
3- Which are the best baby/kids clothes shops in the US? (which are not already in the UK)
Thank you!

The formula guidelines are here. Can’t help with the other things though sorry.

  1. Yes as long as it’s a reasonable amount for the journey. Have them to hand ready for inspection at security as some/all will go through a liquid scanner. You can also take cool boiled water in a sippy cup/bottle but not juice/squash (you may get that through but no guarantees).
  2. Brands are different but any grocery store/ large pharmacy like CVS will have baby products including food. Check ingredients though as it’s not a given that baby food doesn’t contain added crap in the US.
  3. Up to you but I wouldn’t bother with shopping, at the current exchange rate you’ll probably find stuff is cheaper in the UK anyway.

Have a great holiday!

You can only take sufficient for the flight. I would consider packing some of those items in your suitcase for use for the first few days you are in Orlando.

Publix supermarket is a good bet as well re food produce. IIRC they also stock Ella pouches (have a look at their website in advance though and call the store you want to visit in question re availability).

The childrens place shop is worth a look as is Macys for their children's wear. Lots of choice.

We used to order aptimil to collect airside from boots. Ordered enough for 7 days which iirc was 21 cartons. Heavy but worked out fine. Didn’t bother taking it through security.
