Weekend in Liverpool

Anyone know Liverpool really well? Me, mum and sister were meant to be going to the clothes show in October this year for my mums birthday combined with Mother's Day presents, and they've now cancelled it! We've only booked the hotel and could cancel it without losing it but also thinking we might keep it.

Any ideas for anything else to do actually in the city centre? We're only going for one night and been a few times before so already done The Cavern, duck tours and shopping, so trying to think of anything else that might be good to do.

We'd like somewhere good for a meal at night, possibly a spa day, somewhere that maybe does nice cocktails, we like shopping, theatre or cinema, walking, the Beatles, reading, not really into anything too culturally or sports, just a typical girls weekend away really. We're staying in an apartment so have the option to eat out or if there was a really nice deli or something nearby, to take food back with us. Any ideas?

Hi, I know Liverpool extremely well (live/work) there.

Let me know if you are still going and I will pop back with some suggestions.

Last time we went to Liverpool we dined at Alma de Cuba It was very nice! Old renovated church so it had a great atmosphere . Good menu choice. Nice cocktails downstairs in the bar too

You are absolutely spoilt for choice !

There is the trendy Baltic area which has a food market Thursday / Friday / Saturday evenings. Loads of different food to try drinks all under one big roof - plus lots of other places to drink in that area. There's also Ghetto Golf (crazy golf with booze) on the corner.

Bold street in town is really good for food too. Lots of choice.

You could try somewhere like Oh Me Oh My for cocktails on the roof top terrace.

Castle street area becoming good for food. Bar called the Alchemist good for cocktails.

There are nice hotels in town such as the Titanic which have a spa.

Albert Dock area really good for food and drinks maybe go on the big wheel ?

What about a show ? Playhouse, Royal court, Everyman will have a good choice on that time of year.

Revolution in the Albert dock is good for a drink and food. Make sure you buy a revs card at the bar. Gives you two for one cocktails and food discount. It costs about three quid.

What are your interests? What do you want to see?

Anthony gormley at Crosby beach. The statues are gorgeous in the sunset. It's a lush beach.

Where are you staying?

The roof top bar and the food at st James street are amazing. Bit pricey but gorgeous. There is an offer on Wowcher at the min.
