Car seats with BA

Has anyone transported car seats when they have flown?

We can take our car seats included with our BA flight but can't get any joy out of them as to whether they need to be on a bag/wrapped.

Also seeing how they fling stuff around would you trust the integrity of the seat after the flight - like after an accident?

We have taken our seats with BA. They were wrapped on the way out but not on the way back. No problems at all. Taken them a few places and for us proved less stressful than getting seats from the car hire company the other end.

Done it with BA and EasyJet. We bought some kind of case/ cover on Amazon. There is typically some wording somewhere whereby the airline won't be responsible for damages to prams and car seats. You could have it wrapped in plastic at the airport, but that will cost you.
