We haven't booked any excursions yet, are hoping it's easy to get a taxi or bus into centres. Is this the case? ~Also Wondering if anyone has info on where to go, got DSs, 6 and 2.5 y.o.

Any places have a beach within easy reach?

Marbeth,

Nearly packed!

Have a good journey (we are coming from Yorkshire so have about 4 hours' worth). I might see you there (identifiable by the creased clothes due to early packing)!

Hi Smutti

We have to finish packing tommorrow. Then we will drive down on Sundy morning. Should take 2-3 hours depending on traffic.Hope you have a great cruise. May come across you on freedom dining!

Hi Marbeth, if you do see me, you won't yell "Oi, Smutti!" will you?! Best not to ask people if they're "Smutti", either! Should point out that the S is of special relevance to me, and mutti is German for mum! You enjoy it, too.

Hi Marbeth! We had such a good time, we have just booked to go on her again next year! And naturally, we've booked Freedom dining this time! Was really nice to meet you - and thanks again for all the advice.

Hi Smutti

I am really glad you had a great time.It was nice meeting you.Freedom dining works really well with children.Dh and I are missing our afternoon teas with the clotted cream!. We are still deciding about booking again for next year can't decide wether to go for a week at easter or go in the summer for 2 weeks. Dh really keen.

Smutti · 07/06/2007 11:25

Marbeth,
Lucky you - making it to afternoon tea! Least I can't miss what I didn't have .

We are going in the Oct half term next year - fortunately for us, our DSs get two weeks' hols which match exactly to the cruise (DS2 will have started Kindergarten by then). On this hol they will be free (!), so it only costs the same as 1 week in summer! No doubt the weather won't be great to start off with - hopefully it will warm up as we head south towards the Canaries.

Anyway, I will have to try to put it to the back of my mind, it's such a long way off, but still, nice to have stg to look forward to.
