Eiffel Tower Tickets

I've just booked a trip to Paris in April and looking at the official Eiffel tower website it seems like tickets to the summit are already sold out for our dates?
Does this seem right ? Do they release any more tickets nearer the date?
What are my options Do i need to but a £50 tour ticket or is there anywhere else i can buy tickets

I don't know but I've been twice before and both times bought tickets at the Tower. Having said that, one time it was February and the other time November so off-peak and not as busy. Do they have an office that you could call and ask? If so, the people who work there will speak English if you don't speak French.

I might send them an email (with the help of my GSCE french and google translate) .
I'm surprised that there are no tickets available , but it is during the easter holidays so maybe i shouldn't risk just turning up
