Has anyone got experience of travelling with breastmilk?

I am aware that I can take it on the plane and it doesn't need to be

I would try and see if the airport gives you better information. After all, it is not the airline who sets the rules and enforces them. Maybe quote the government website you found. I think the difference to a standard ice pack is that the latter is filled with water, not a gel.

There are also chemical ice packs which work similar to these "click" heat packs only that they obviously turn cold, not hot. No idea if they provide long term cooling but I know friends who have them in their first aid kit for bumps.

I am confused why you would try and keep breastmilk cool for that long. Why not breastfeed when needed?
