Can you recommend a hotel 3 or 4 star quite near to the centre?
Daughter has ASD so needs lots of rests between activities.

Any recommendations for sightseeing (2 days) other than the obvious places?

Thanks... not very worldly traveller here!!

Hotel Fabric is a great little hotel near Oberkampf - you can walk to Bastille, Canal St Martin or into the Marais with several metro lines on the doorstep (including line 5 if you are coming from the Eurostar or CDG airport). Or take the 96 bus which is a lovely ride through the city and across the river to Montparnasse. I always recommend visitors go up the Montparnasse Tower because there is never a queue, you go up in the lift and once you are up there you don't have to look at it and can have an excellent panorama featuring the Eiffel Tower instead.

I have stayed at HOtel des MInes near the Luxembourg gardens. Friendly staff, they do breakfast, the area is fairly quiet but you are a few streets away from Boulevard St Germain and typical Paris left bank atmosphere. Not fancy but comfortable and reasonable value. Easily walkable to Notre Dame. When will you be going?

There's a Novotel at Les Halles (not the nicest area), or a couple of Mercure hotels near the Sorbonne.

I haven't stayed in these particular hotels, but I've stayed in various other Novotels and Mercures, and they've always been pleasant.

We've stayed in a couple of hotels in the Astotel chain before. Clean, comfortable and a bit quirky. They also offer free drinks and snacks during the day. Ideal for when you pop back for a rest. Have a lovely time!

Thanks. Going just after Easter hopefully. Will have a look at all of these!
