Hi,
Well where to start? I am of course prejudiced as I was born here! I just know that there isn`t another town in this area of Kent to match it, it is getting very popular with w/enders, all the property programmes are really selling it! As you will know then we have a very long seafront and I am glad its pebbles as it keeps the hoards away in the summer. Having said that my end, I live in Walmer, nr Kingsdown end, we now get some sand when the tide is out and the most fantastic rock pools! The town centre I think is nice and we have some fantastic individula, nice shops, lots of lovely cafes and loads of pubs! Deal has a conservation area, Middle Street which is very old, loads of history, lots of smuggling went on here. Castles, used to be three, now two, both built by Henry 8th. Excellent schools, my trio are at Kingsdown Primary school, 200 pupils, before they attended Kingsdown pre-school which is very much sought after even from those outside of Deal. We have a good local swimming pool where mine have lessons, there are lots of gym clubd, tots clubs, drama clubs etc. I just think it is a lovely place to live, I lived in Herne Bay for two years but came back here, just love it. I never ever get tired of looking at the sea, what ever season with the local fishing boats on the beach it is always a picture. On a clear day we can see France! Very handy for day trips to France too! I have just put my house on the market, lovely area! Let me know if you want more info, happy to help!

hi again triplets. I'm totally sold on the place... it's funny because when you visit somewhere you just don't know what it would be like to actually live there but I (I should say we, DH and DS also very keen, DS because of all the pebbles he can pick up on the beach, DH for the same reason ) really got a great feeling being there.

I didn't get around to checking out clubs/artistic type things going on and I wanted to know that kind of thing existed...not that I'm at the Tate Modern every day or off visiting places, but it's good to be in a place where there's things on your doorstep. When I do a google not that much info comes up that's helpful... we thought about Herne Bay too but some how it just didn't have the same pull for me. I shall think of some other things to ask you if that's all right with you? Thank you so much. I wasn't sure I was going to get a response. That's really helpful info. We expect to move in a couple of months so watch this space. On that note are you moving out or just moving house if you don't mind me asking...

Hi again,
We are hoping to move house, we need more space, but our problem is we live in a very nice road and have been here for 28 years. We have two 9 yr old boys sharing a room, and they drive me mad at night, so we are looking for 4beds or a much larger 3 bed house, trouble is as I have said this area is sooooooo lovely that to move up the ladder we would need to borrow lots more money and really can`t afford to. If you want to look at our house go to
www.RSWhites.com
St Clare Rd- £260,000
Deal is very arty, we have lots of good local artist, always lots of exhibitions going on. Also an excellent Deal music festival throughout July. Local farmers markets every Weds, weekly Sat market etc. I will happily send you some info if you want to e-mail me. Herne Bay is nice but feels more for the older generation, thats almost me!
