Best Centre Parcs in France?

Thinking of going in August with DH and DCs 8 and 4. Ideally we’d like the best chance of good weather, lovely accommodation (well, as lovely as it can be in a CP), plenty to do for kids (which is obviously a given at CP), maybe near a beach?

One other thought is if we go to the Paris one we could squeeze in a trip to Disney but the other criteria is more important.

Any recs much appreciated!

I have never been to any of the french parks but I see that they have opened a brand new one next to Disney - I think it's called Villages Nature Paris. It only opened in the Autumn so I imagine the lodges will be in nice condition.

Look at the end of August as prices tend to drop that week

We've stayed at Bois Aux Daims and Lac D'ailette. Bois Aux Daims is the one south of Le Mans and Lac D'ailette is near to Reims.

Bois Aux Daims is newish and we've been there twice. First time we went to Disneyland and then drove onto Bois Aux Daims. Its a straight 5 hour drive from Calais but the roads are brilliant. There are amazing animal parks around it and they have some good animal experiences for the kids at CP - they have an aviary and you can do a mini zookeeper thing.

Lac D'ailette - bit older and looked tired. We had a lovely lakeside cottage and spent ages watching the coots build nests and destroy their neighbours!. We went into Reims for a bit of a history experience - where Germany signed the surrender of WWII. We drove buggies around the nearby streets. Also some cool underground caves nearby.

Going to the new Natures village in Paris in May. Using it mostly as a base for the surroundings and a trip into Paris.

Just remembered - Weather at both was really hot in May - can imagine the August would be boiling.

Bois Aux Daims aquadome is awesome according to DH.

We mostly go to Dutch and Belgium parks

Oh and at Bois Aux Daims - deer come to your house. We called ours Nigel and fed him carrots and lettuce everyday.

Thanks for this. I think that’s what I’m worried about with some of the older parks - that they’ll be a bit tired.
Do you think Paris in August will be hot??

Also, you can buy DLP tickets via CP when you book the Villages Nature’s - they are Magic Plus tickets -but I’m not sure what that means??!

I can imagine it would be hot but with the new sites the Aquamundo's are superb so you would probably spend a lot of time in it!

I've been on our booking and you can book ticket packages for Disneyland but gives no more info about what that entails.

Do any of the french center parcs have creches?
