France and allergies

Hi, we are heading to France this summer and my son is allergic to eggs dairy and soya, does anyone have any experience of how accommodating French are to allergies, do they take them seriously in restaurants for example? I speak enough French to explain.
Also- if there much non dairy milk in supermarkets (think mod size coastal...)
Thanks

Yep the French have this chalky milk 😖 Which is common. Can your son drink goats milk? My dcs struggle with cows milk and goats milk is super!

Do you speak French? If not, learn the phrases to explain his allergies and also have them written down clearly on your phone/on a card in your purse.

You should be able to find non dairy milk in many places. If you have a car and pass by a hypermarket that would be the best and cheapest place (and likely to have the most variety).

Thanks, no sadly he can't, we are fine with coconut, oat etc though, so before I load up a car of stuff was hoping to get some there! Fine their websites for supermarkets poor in comparison to here!
