Looking to travel in July /August to Kefalonia with a just over 2 year old - any hotel recommendations? Ideally we wanted all inclusive but happy as long as there is a toddler friendly hotel with a beach! Also - not stuck on Kefalonia so other greek island recommendations welcome as well. Thank you.

Are you sure you want to go in July or August? It will be unbelievably hot. It’s still hot in September!

I agree with girly, we went in August quite a few years ago. Naively hadn't given enough thought to the weather, it was 40c. Beach was too hot to walk on! I'm not a great sun/heat lover so found it difficult.
Having said that, it is a beautiful island and well worth a visit, just not sure the height of summer with a 2 year old would be much fun!

It was 40C there for half of August last year!

Saying that, we are going to neighbouring island Lefkas again this year. It is lovely on those islands, I 'd look at Tripadvisor for hotels (with airco!)

Or look at i-escape for family friendly places

Love that part of Greece!

We went at the end of August and beginning of Sept. It was hot but manageable However it may be much for a 2 year old.

The Island is beautiful and we rented a car to explore it. Ours kids are older though

We have found that June or September are the best months temperature wise, but Sept can be stormy.

Have you considered Skiathos? Lovely little island, great beaches and very family friendly.
