You need to consider whether you want an apartment, interconnecting rooms, a suite of rooms or everyone in the same room.
Do you require or want a kids club, crèche or babysitting service?
You also need to check what baby equipment is available - cot, booster seat etc...
will you be taking a pushchair? If so, do you want to request a ground floor room?
Is there a separate children's pool?
Is there space for the children to play?

Is there a restaurant with suitable food options and a family friendly dining time?

First thing I look for is a kids pool with waterslides.
Family room which is 1 room leading to another so only one door out to main hotel.
Type of food available
Kids club
Distance from supermarket
Kids entertainment
In the beach

Transfer time from airport

Is pool heated (if weather might not be baking, eg if going in spring)

Beach style pool i.e. with gently shelving entrance for your toddler

Buffet style food helps a lot if eating with a toddler as you can take turns and there is no waiting to be served. Also good for picky eaters

Fridge in the room is very useful (for milk, a few snacks etc) - usually you can use the minibar fridge

If there is a balcony check your toddler can't fall off it.
