So, there is one apartment left for when we want to go. Have read all the threads and it sounds just the thing I think.

Did your dcs enjoy the creche if you used it ?

Any bad points ?

Will it be full of MNters ?

thanks - we aren't sure whether to book creche. On one hand we feel holidays should be family affairs and dh doesn't see much of dd (generally weekends only) but on the other hand dh works exceedingly long hours and needs some time to flop. We would only book half days and maybe for only 1 week and then not necessarily use it for the full week.

Won't tell dh about hte mossies he always gets dreadfully bitten.

Mossies a very occasional thing - I've been twice and didn't get them either time. They must have known it was Cod.

tbh, the creche was what made it for us. if i didnt need a creche, i'd prob want to be much closer to the beach and town/ restaurants. it is a great place, but we endured the 5 minute drive that you have to do to get eat/ beach, because of the huge benefit of having the creche. we had 1/2 days only. afternoons much better than mornings, imo. we tried both, but p.m worked better.

btw, mine will be 5 and 3 this summer, and i think 6yrs old is about the max age that the children would be interested in this particular kids club. its quite 'infanty'.

noonar · 04/05/2007 19:41

'get a meal' i meant

RanToTheHills · 05/05/2007 12:36

creche varies - 1st yr went thought it was brilliant - really high calibre, motivated nannies doing interesting activities. Last yr completely different lot, rather lacklustre, manager went home to UK early (not a good sign) and staff seemed rather bored and didn't do a huge amount esp for the older children. Having siad that, the crech itself is great- lovely toys/garden. All completely safe etc etc.

noonar · 05/05/2007 18:53

rantothe hills, did you have lesley, laura and someone else, who's name i can't remember?

they weren't exactly dynamic, but very sweet with my dds.

PeterAndreFanCLub · 05/05/2007 18:54

noonar yes they were dull
the nrothern one was full of herself imo

noonar · 05/05/2007 18:57

what was the other girl called?

RanToTheHills · 05/05/2007 19:04

don't remember any names (that's bad, isn't it? ). But yes, they weren't the greatest. More a baby-parking area, tbh compared to the yr before when it was better than ds's regular nursery!

noonar · 05/05/2007 19:20

i really liked them, purely on the basis that my 2 and 4yo were happy! but then, if i'd had a bored older child, i mightve felt v differently (see earlier post about not catering for children 6/7 plus)

PeterAndreFanCLub · 05/05/2007 22:43

my older kdis loved em
