So what is still cheap in French supermarkets at the moment?

With the pound so weak? Off to Normandy for a few days in half term.

I'm thinking wine, because it's taxed less, and things the french think are ordinary and the British think are expensive luxuries (tinned chestnuts, buckwheat flour - must be more than this!). Not interested in meat products as we're veggie. Le Petit Marseilles is lovely but way more expensive than the kind of stuff I buy in the UK.

We will buy some things just because you can't get them in the UK (pistachio flavour milky puddings, gateau de semoule, regional cakes/biscuits).
