Child passport renewal

I've just started my child's passport renewal online, it's telling me I have to put details such as the date of my marriage, my passport and my husbands passport numbers etc.
Is this a new thing? the last child renewal I did was quite a few years ago and a paper form, I don't remember having to include all those extra details as they already had them from when I applied for their first passport.
The helpline is closed now and i'm just not sure if this is right or I've somehow go onto a first passport instead of a renewal.

I had a look at the guidance doc here (PDF link) as I couldn't remember exactly what I filled in when I renewed ds' passport in 2015.

It does say that parent details should be supplied in section 4 for all applications made for someone under 16 - it doesn't differentiate between first passports and renewals in this section.
