Yelloh Villages.

We're looking at doing a holiday in France at the end of August. DDs will be 9 & 5.
Yelloh seem to be the most reasonably priced company we've found.
We're looking at Brittany or the Vendee.
Has anyone stayed in any Yelloh Campsites before or have any recommendations please???

We stayed at a Yelloh site in Portugal a few years ago - it was lovely. Really nice site, good facilities.

Thanks! I was unsure because Eurocamp is so established & we enjoyed their campsites, but Yelloh are almost half the price!!

We have stayed in la ranolien in Brittany, and we went to la littoral last year in the vandee. We love them as we have dc 6&8 so good pools and kids entertainment. What would u like to know, I'll see if I can answer any questions.

Many of these campsites are yelloh owned but have other caravan companies there. Eurocamp have caravans at both those two I named above and yes is double the price of yelloh.

We stayed in a couple when dd was smaller. Absolutely lovely, both of them.

Stayed in one last year, just along the coast from Le Ranolian. We loved it. Staff were great, pools great, beaches along there are lovely. We stayed in a Taos and it was clean and good quality.

Thanks for the replays.
La Ranolien is looking to be our favourite as we love Brittany. I'm tempted by the Vendee because I had many lovely childhood holidays there & I'm convinced its warmer!
I just wanted to reassure myself that the campsites were well staffed & the facilities (shops etc) were good!

The yelloh sites are well run. They have bakery's there that do fresh bread and pastries etc in the morning. On site shops, restaurant and pizza takeaways. Activities during the day should u want it and evening entertainment as well. We went on a boat ride up there along the Jurassic coast which was good.

But yes the weather is not as good or consistent as further south.

We stayed at les mouttes near roscoff a few years ago. It’s a fantastic site and I would consider yelloh again. We had awful weather last week in August. Such a shame as the outdoor pool complex is amazing.

We did Serignan Plage twice and it was brilliant!

herdiegirl · 06/02/2018 16:16

We've been to les mouettes and la plage in Brittany. Both excellent sites and good value. We went for the premium accommodation and still really reasonable. Would certainly recommend yelloh villages.

we stayed at les mimosas a few years ago when it had just become a yelloh site, it was great site with lots to do we didnt stay in their accommodation so cant really comment but all the facilities were clean and tidy

Hhakuna · 06/02/2018 19:15

also stayed at Le pre Catalan, even in high season it wasnt very noisy still relatively peaceful and relaxed it was in an area with lots of sites but set slightly further back so quieter
The beach was a short walk away and a long cycle track was close to the site great for exploring the area
lots to do in high season in the area and close to supermarkets too, most things in walking distance

Have stayed at 2 Yelloh sites and loved them both (going back this year). Lovely staff and slightly lower proportion of Brits than others we’ve tried so it felt more like a holiday!

Hi, we stayed in Le Ranolien in summer 2015. First time on that type of holiday and it was really good. Son was 6 and absolutely loved it. We booked direct with Yelloh and the price was very reasonable as we were there very late Aug into early September. All accommodation looked good and site very clean. Pools nice, good coast walks from site. You can’t cycle on the coast path though. Lovely local villages, massive supermarket 10 mins drive away for stocking up. DS did some on site clubs and also made use of table tennis tables, football pitch etc.
We spent a lot of time on the site or doing walks from site so didn’t see a lot of surrounding area but what we did see was lovely.
Easy drive from Roscoff.
Please ask if you have any specific questions.
