Weekend away with a friend- where to go?

I am planning a (childfree) weekend away with a friend Sept/Oct time. Any ideas on where we should go? Hoping for a relaxing weekend!
We are leaning towards Barcelona at the moment. Has anyone been? If so where should we stay?

I went to Majorca for the weekend with a couple of friends last year, we went in September and it was lovely, we stayed in Santa Ponsa.
